You probably haven't heard of us but we are one of Lancaster County's best kept secrets and we don't want to be hidden any longer to the visitor coming into Lancaster County.

We are a small town growing with businesses sprouting along its Main Street corridor and the outskirts of the downtown.

Easy access from Route 283 and Route 30

You can sit on the veranda at the Olde Square Inn and see the Amish drive the buggies and wagons down Main Street.

Our town offers Amtrak coming from Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York and other corridors.

The shops include antiques, great restaurants such as Bube's Brewery, Fashion Finish Boutique, As the Crow Flies, decorating shops and more.

We even have a great spa a minute's walk from the inn that offers all services such as massage, nails, facials, hair, reflexology.  

Here on Main Street we have a great floral designer at Floral Designs on Main Street.  Jill and her team are absolute artists within their field.

There is an organic market called Green Market.

Come Spring to Fall the Farmer's Market is bustling with fruits, vegetables, flowers and so much more!

Stay at the Olde Square Inn and take a dip in the pool, breakfast on the veranda and of course a massage at the spa just a two minute walk from the inn.

While here visit the wineries such as Waltz, Nissley, visit Harley Davidson factory, the Civil War Museum, the farmer's market.  The list goes on and no matter the season there is always plenty to experience.  As we abound with theater, art and museums.

Strasburg Mud Sale, Lancaster County PA

STRASBURG AMISH MUD SALE

It is the first of the season at the Strasburg Fire Company.  People come from across the country to attend this gathering. There called "Mud Sales" because at this time of the year the earth is thawing and freezing and depending on the weather it could be fairly deep in the mud where your mud sale will be held.

Everything is sold from creatures such as horses, furniture, landscaping, building materials and the list goes on.

The food is the best at a mud sale and the smells that come from the food stands are enticing.  Chicken Corn soup, homemade pies, b-cue and many more things to tempt your taste buds.

This is a gathering where friends are made and you return each year to see one another and catch up on your families.

These events are well attended by Amish families.

Fire and Ice Mount Joy PA is a wonderful family event held in this charming growing town.
On Friday, February 25 there is the annual chili challenge.  
Two humongous live ice carvings from 5-8.
There is also a Hots Wings Tour throughout the restaurants.
Saturday, February 26 from 10-1 there will be two more live ice carvings with over 20 carvings dotted along the way.
Free Hot chocolate, the chili awards ceremony, kids story time with Jan Betty at the Olde Square Inn.
Lots of HOT shopping specials and Fire and Ice Featured Menus.
So come out and make a weekend of it and enjoy the festivities while staying at the Olde Square Inn.
