Taste of Mount Joy Cruisin' Cuisine
July 23, 2011
2011 marks the ninth annual Taste of Mount Joy Cruisin’ Cuisine, held on Main Street in Mount Joy. The show area runs from Barbara Street to Manheim Street and has been expanded to include a portion of Marietta Avenue. The show draws nearly 200 cars in these classes: antique, classic, muscle car, street rod, corvette, custom and classic motorcycle, antique and classic truck and fire engines. A NEW feature
this year is the addition of tractors. Last year, nearly 50 trophies, sponsored by area businesses and civic organizations, were awarded. A highlight of the show includes more than a dozen area restaurants selling their finest food to the thousands of visitors who come to see the vast variety of cars.
Make a weekend of this great event and stay at the Olde Square Inn on Main Street where all the "hub-bub" is taking place. Walk to great restaurants, have a dip in the pool, sit on the veranda and watch the festivities while at the inn. Beautiful inn completely restored with great hospitality waiting for you
Stay local, save gas and have a great getaway within your budget!
