Run, Ride & Soar Weekend

Last November more than 1,300 from across the country ran these very same, beautiful country roads around Bird-in-Hand in a 13.1 mile half marathon and 5k.  This year will feature the same course, the same running excitement – and a whole lot more – at the Bird-in-Hand Run, Ride and Soar Weekend.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 9,10 and 11, we’ll bring together a selection of events:

Friday, September 9
5 - 7:30 pm:  Pre-race pasta party at the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant (athletes and spectators welcome)  Benefits the Bird-in-Hand Fire Co
6:15 pm:  Amish Country Hot Air Balloon Fest
6:15 pm:  Amish Country Bird-in-Hand Kid’s Fun Run
6:30 pm:  Amish Country Bird-in-Hand 5k

Saturday, September 10
7:00 am:  Amish Country Hot Air Balloon Fest
7:30 am: Amish Country Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon Benefits the Bird-in-Hand Fire Company
8 am: Amish Country Classic Bike Rides (12, 23 and 62 mile metric century) Benefits the Paradise Rotary Club and its charities
5:45 pm: Amish Country Bike & Balloon Race (raindate Sunday at 5:45 pm)

Sunday, September 11
7:15 am: Amish Country Hot Air Balloon Fest

Proceeds from the Amish Country Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon benefit the Bird-in-Hand Volunteer Fire Company.  Proceeds from the Paradise Rotary Amish Country Classic Bike Rides help support their charities.
